Jakarta - The Jakarta Composite Index (JCI), at the end of trading on Thursday (12/29), closed up 0.14% or 9.56 points to 6,860.08.

At the market close, 269 stocks strengthened, 238 stocks weakened, and 197 stocks were unchanged. The total stock exchange transaction volume reached 26.61 billion shares with a turnover of Rp18.63 trillion.

The increase in the JCI was supported by the strengthening of five sectoral indices. Meanwhile, six sectors ended down.

The top gainers in the LQ45 were PT GoTo Gojek Tokopedia Tbk (GOTO) 6.59 %, PT Mitra Keluarga Karyahealth Tbk (MIKA) 3.68 %, and PT Chandra Asri Petrochemical Tbk (TPIA) 3.61%.

Among the LQ45 top losers included PT HM Sampoerna Tbk (HMSP) which fell 2.86%. PT Medco Energi Internasional Tbk (MEDC)  lost 2.37%, PT Indika Energy Tbk (INDY)  was down 2.16%.
