JCI Closes Rising 0.9% to 5,816


At the end of trading today, Tuesday (25/5), the Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) was up 52.21 points or 0.91% at 5,815.84.

Two hundred eighty-three stocks rose, 209 stocks fell, and 152 stocks were unchanged. The total volume of transactions reached 21.12 billion with a market turnover of Rp. 11.77 trillion.

Although the JCI strengthened, three sectoral indices fell, such as the transportation and logistics sector, which fell 1.88%, the technology sector lost 0.40%, and the primary consumption goods sector slid 0.06%.

Meanwhile, the shares included in the top gainers in the LQ45 were PT Medco Energi Internasional Tbk (MEDC) which increased 6.67%, PT Perusahaan Gas Negara Tbk (PGAS) rose 4.27%, PT Merdeka Copper Gold Tbk (MDKA) added 4.08%.

Meanwhile, the stocks that entered the LQ45 top losers included PT Erajaya Swasembada Tbk (ERAA), which fell 3.20%, PT Media Nusantara Citra Tbk (MNCN) down 2.11%, PT Charoen Pokphand Indonesia Tbk (CPIN) decl
