Jakarta - The Jakarta Composite Index at the end of today's trading on Wednesday (25/8), rose 23.74 points or 0.39% to 6,113.24.

There were 249 stocks rising, 240 stocks lower, and 162 stocks stagnant. The total transaction volume reached 24.64 billion shares with a market turnovoer of Rp11.40 trillion.

Six sectoral indices contributed to the JCI's gain today. Meanwhile, the transportation sector lost 0.18 %, the non-primary consumer goods sector fell 0.17%, the raw goods sector fell 0.09 %, the infrastructure sector fell 0.08 %, and the property and real estate sector decreased slightly 0.07 %.

The biggest gainers among stocks  in the LQ45 were PT Wijaya Karya Tbk (WIKA), which jumped 4.44 %. PT Medco Energi Internasional Tbk (MEDC) increased 3.75%, and PT Mitra Keluarga Karya Sehat Tbk (MIKA) rose 3.56%.

The top losers in LQ45 were PT Barito Pacific Tbk (BRPT), -2.67 %. PT AKR Corporindo Tbk (AKRA)
