The Jakarta Composite Index (JCI), at the end of trading today, on Thursday (28/1), fell 129.78 points or 2.12 percent to 5,979.39.

Eighty-one shares rose, 427 shares fell, and 118 stocks were stagnant. The total volume of transactions reached 16.75 billion shares with a transaction value of IDR 16.24 trillion.

Among the top gainers of LQ45 were PT Mitra Keluarga Kary Saran Tbk (MIKA) that rose 2.88 percent, PT Ace Hardware Indonesia Tbk (ACES), which gained 2.19 percent, PT United Tractors Tbk (UNTR) was up 2.03 percent.

The top losers in the LQ45 index, among others, were PT PP Tbk (PTPP) that plunged 6.99 percent, PT Wijaya Karya Tbk (WIKA) dropped 6.87 percent, PT Surya Citra Media Tbk (SCMA) fell 6.85 percent.
