JCI Closes Falling 1.76% to 5,834


At the end of trading on Monday (17/5), the Jakarta Composite Index fell 1.76% or 104.49 points to 5,833.86.

One hundred thirteen stocks were up, 414 stocks down, and 117 stocks unchanged. The total volume of transactions reached 18.56 billion shares with a market turnover of Rp12.01 trillion.

The Basic Materials Index recorded the deepest decline, namely 4.36%. IDX Consumer Noncyclical slumped 2.36%. IDX Property and Real Estate fell 2.14%. IDX Industrial plunged 2.09%. IDX Technologies fell 1.81%. IDX Infrastructure eroded 1.67%.

IDX Transportation fell 1.30%. IDX Consumer Cyclical fell 1.28%. IDX Financial fell 0.99%. IDX Energy fell 0.60%. IDX Healthcare fell 0.21%.

Among the LQ45 top gainers category, were PT Kalbe Farma Tbk (KLBF) 1.04%, PT Indo Tambangraya Megah Tbk (ITMG) 0.97%, PT Bank Mandiri Tbk (BMRI) 0.42%.

Meanwhile, among the top loser stocks in the LQ45 were PT Perusahaan Gas Negara Tbk (PGAS) -7%, PT Vale Indonesia T
