JCI Closes Falling 0.16% to 5,764


The Jakarta Composite Index (JCI), at the end of trading today, on Monday (24/5), closed down 9.48 points or 0.16% to 5,763.63.

One hundred ninety-one stocks were up, 320 stocks down, and 135 stocks unchanged. The total trading volume reached 17.84 billion shares with a total value of Rp9.04 trillion.

Eight sectoral indices slipped into the red zone. Meanwhile, two other sectoral indices survived into the green area.

The sectoral indices with the deepest weakness were IDX Basic which fell 2.62%, IDX Trans fell 2.38%, and IDX Property fell 0.82%.

Meanwhile, the sectoral indexes that managed to strengthen were IDX Finance, which rose 0.47%, and IDX Energy, which rose 0.10%.

Shares that included in the top gainers of the LQ45 were PT Erajaya Swasembada Tbk (ERAA) which gained 5.93%, PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia Tbk (BBRI) rose 3.86%, PT Unilever Indonesia Tbk (UNVR) increased 2.69 %.
