JCI Closes Down 0.51% at 6,259 Today
At the end of trading today, the Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) closed down 32.05 points or 0.51% at 6,258.75.
Of all stocks traded, 187 stocks strengthened, 306 stocks weakened, and 133 stocks were unchanged. The total trading volume reached 30.29 billion shares with a total market turnover of 16.67 trillion.
Only one stock sector that survived into the green zone was the financial sector, which rose 0.32%.
Meanwhile, the other nine stock sectors are in the red zone. The sectors with the deepest weakness were the mining sector which fell 2.78%, the infrastructure sector fell 1.37%, and the basic industry sector fell 1.12%.
Meanwhile, the stocks among the LQ45 top gainers were PT Japfa Comfeed Indonesia Tbk (JPFA) which rose 5.11%, PT Erajaya Swasembada Tbk (ERAA) was up 2.62%, PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BBCA) gained 1.19%.
Meanwhile, the LQ45 top losers' stocks were PT Bank BTPN Syariah Tbk (BTPS), which fell 6.89%, PT Vale Indonesia Tbk (INCO), dropped 6.79%, PT Pabrik Kertas Tjiwi Kimia Tbk. (TKIM) slid 4.74%.
Foreign investors net sold shares worth Rp957.06 billion in all markets.
The stocks with the largest foreign net sales were PT Merdeka Copper Gold Tbk (MDKA) with Rp749.1 billion, PT Indofood CBP Sukses Makmur Tbk (ICBP) Rp86.2 billion, and PT Vale Indonesia Tbk (INCO) Rp67.1 billion.
The stocks with the largest net foreign purchases were PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BBCA) Rp96.5 billion, PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia Tbk (BBRI) Rp68.6 billion, and PT Indah Kiat Pulp and Paper Tbk (INKP) Rp51.7 billion.
