The Jakarta Composite Index at the end of trading today, on Tuesday (18/5), edged up 0.01% or 0.53 points to 5,834.39.

There were 246 stocks that rose, 236 stocks fell, and 152 stocks were stagnant. The total volume of stock exchange transactions reached 18.49 billion shares with a transaction value of Rp10.89 trillion.

Eight sectoral indices rose to close the market today. The industrial sector index rose 2.58%. The transportation and logistics sector index rose 1.36%. The energy sector index rose 0.98%. The basic consumption goods index strengthened 0.64%. The infrastructure sector strengthened 0.51%. The property and real estate sector rose 0.40%. The non-primary consumer goods sector rose 0.31%, and the raw goods sector increased 0.17%.

Three sectors still fell until they closed the market. The technology sector decreased 1.94%. The financial sector fell 1.03%. The health sector fell 0.49%.
