JCI Closes 1.05% Higher at 6,265 Today


At the end of trading today, the Jakarta Composite Index (JCI), on Wednesday (10/3), closed up 65.03 points or 1.05% to 6,264.67.

Of all traded shares, 236 stocks rose, 243 shares fell, and 149 stocks were unchanged. The total trading volume reached 20.61 billion shares with a total market turnover was at Rp10.22 trillion.

Nine sector indices rose, supporting the increase in the JCI. The sectors with the largest increase were the infrastructure sector which rose 2.39%, the basic industrial sector rose 1.90%, and the financial sector rose 1.32%.

Meanwhile, one sector index slipped into the red zone, the miscellaneous industry sector, which fell 1.44%.

Included in the LQ45 top gainers were PT Summarecon Agung Tbk (SMRA), which rose 12.43%, PT Bumi Serpong Damai Tbk (BSDE) was up 5.88%, PT Ciputra Development Tbk (CTRA) gained 5.26%.

The stocks among the LQ45 top losers included PT United Tractors Tbk (UNTR) fell 5.88%, PT Wijaya Karya (Persero) Tbk (WIKA) fell 3.51%, PT PP (Persero) Tbk ( PTPP) fell 2.28%.

Foreign investors recorded net purchases of Rp296.16 billion across all markets.

The stocks with the largest net purchases by foreigners were PT Centratama Telekomunikasi Indonesia Tbk (CENT) worth Rp288.3 billion, PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BBCA) Rp58.7 billion, and PT Merdeka Copper Gold Tbk (MDKA) Rp32.2 billion.

Meanwhile, the stocks with the largest foreign net sales were PT Astra International Tbk (ASII) amounted to Rp92.4 billion, PT United Tractors Tbk (UNTR) Rp49.7 billion, and PT Charoen Pokphand Indonesia Tbk (CPIN) Rp27.5 billion.
