JCI Declines Tracking Weak Global Markets

The high number of COVID-19 transmissions and the weakening of global markets triggered the Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) decline at the opening of trading on Wednesday (7/7) by 15.66 points.

"The JCI tends to weaken today in line with the high number of COVID-19 transmissions and the weakening of global markets," said PT Samuel Sekuritas Research in Jakarta.

Furthermore, what needs to be observed is whether the emergency Community Activity  Restriction (PPKM) will be expanded and extended.

Meanwhile, at the opening of trading on Wednesday, the JCI rose 15.66 points (0.26%) to 6,062.77. Meanwhile, the leading stock index LQ45 climbed 3.98 points (0.47%) to 850.94.
