At the opening of trading today, on Tuesday (4/5), the Jakarta Composite Index strengthened by 123.24 points or 0.22% to 5,966.07.

One hundred seventy-six stocks rose, 82 stocks fell, and 203 stocks were stagnant. Total share trading volume reached 726.77 million shares with a total market turnover of Rp270.94 billion.

All of the sectoral indices strengthened, supporting the increase in the JCI. The sectoral indices with the most significant increase were the basic industry sector which rose 0.79%, the miscellaneous industry sector rose 0.77%, and IDX Trans rose 0.61%.
