PT Indonesian Tobacco Tbk (ITIC) posted a net income of Rp45.8 billion in the first quarter of 2021 compared to the same period last year of Rp.44.9 billion.

Along with revenue, the net margin increased from 3.9% in the first quarter of 2020 to 4.3% in the first quarter of 2021.

Indonesian Tobacco President Director Djonny Saksono said that his party is proud because it can still operate during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

ITIC managed to maintain a substantial sales volume and revenue growth during the first quarter of 2021, clearly showing the strong demand for products in the market.

"We continue to see a shift in consumer preference for sliced ​​tobacco products due to the implementation of higher excise taxes by the central government," he said Wednesday (19/5).

Regarding performance, the company posted sales in the first quarter of 2021 to increase to Rp45.8 billion compared to Rp44.9 billion recorded in the fir
