JCI Rises in Early Trade


Jakarta - The Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) on Monday (7/25) opened higher by 3.87 points, or 0.06%, to 6,890.84

In early trade, 182 stocks were rising, 60 stocks were falling, and 232 stocks were unchanged. The total share trading volume reached 1.01 billion shares with a total turnover of Rp357.632 billion.

Eight compact sectoral indices strengthened, supporting the JCI's strengthening. Meanwhile, two sectoral indices slipped into the red zone.

The three sectoral indices with the most significant gains were the Energy Sector IDX which rose 0.66%; the Industrial Sector IDX gained 0.50%; and the Primary Consumer Goods Sector IDX, which climbed  0.37%.
