IDX Suspends Trading in BVIC, MARI Shares

The Indonesia Stock Exchange temporarily suspended trading in shares of PT Bank Victoria International Tbk (BVIC) and PT Mahaka Radio Integra Tbk (MARI) on Friday (26/2).

"This action is carried out in the context of cooling down due to a significant increase in the cumulative price of BVIC and MARI shares," said Head of the IDX Transaction Supervision Division, Lidia M Panjaitan, in the IDX disclosure, Friday (26/2).

The Exchange imposes a temporary suspension of trading in BVIC and MARI shares in the regular market and the cash market to provide sufficient time for market participants to carefully consider based on the information available in each investment decision making on the two shares.

"Interested parties are expected to always pay attention to the disclosure of information conveyed by the company," she said.

On February 24, 2021, the Exchange included BVIC shares in its monitoring because there had been an unusual market activity (UMA). Meanwhile, the Exchange has monitored MARI shares since  February 22, 2021.
