Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) imposed a temporary suspension of  PT Kioson Commercial Indonesia Tbk (KIOS) and PT MD Pictures Tbk (FILM) shares, starting today, following a significant price increase. 

"In connection with the significant increase in cumulative prices in the context of cooling down, the Indonesia Stock Exchange deems it necessary to temporarily suspend the stocks from trading," said the IDX in its announcement on Wednesday (20/1). 

Such suspensions are carried out in the regular and the cash markets to provide adequate time for market players to consider carefully based on the information available in each of their investment decisions. 

KIOS shares have soared 141.45 percent in the past week, with an average daily gain of 20 percent to 30 percent. KIOS last traded at Rp565 per share. 

Meanwhile, in the past week, FILM's shares have risen 60.71 percent, while year to date, FILM shares have risen 104.55 percent. The shares last traded at Rp360.
