IDX Monitors Bank Victoria, Fortune for Unusual Market Activity

The Indonesia Stock Exchange is currently monitoring the shares of PT Bank Victoria International Tbk (BVIC) and PT Fortune Indonesia Tbk (FORU).

"This step is taken in connection with an unusual market activity (UMA) increase," said Head of the IDX Transaction Supervision Division, Lidia M. Panjaitan, in the IDX disclosure on Thursday (25/2).

The Exchange asks investors to pay attention to listed companies' answers to the Exchange's request for confirmation. The IDX also asks investors to pay close attention to listed companies' performance and their disclosure of information, review the listed company's corporate action plans if the GMS has not approved the agenda, and consider various possibilities that may arise later date before making an investment decision.

The UMA announcement does not necessarily indicate a violation of the laws and regulations in the capital market.

BVIC Corporate Secretary Caprie Ardira, in the IDX disclosure on February 22, 2021, emphasized that management was not aware of any material information or facts that could affect the value of company securities or investors' investment decisions.

"In the next 3 months, the company also has no plans to take corporate action which will result in the listing of the company's shares on the Stock Exchange," said Caprie.
