The Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) has evaluated the list of shares in the LQ45 index in January 2021 to calculate the new LQ45 index for the trading period from February to July 2021.

Based on the evaluation, there are two new shares: PT Medco Energi Internasional Tbk (MEDC) and PT Chandra Asri Petrochemical Tbk (TPIA). The two shares will replace the two shares issued, namely PT Surya Citra Media Tbk (SCMA) and PT Sri Rejeki Isman Tbk (SRIL).

"In January 2021, a major evaluation was carried out to determine the list of shares and adjust the weight of the shares used for calculating the LQ45 index," said Head of the IDX Trade Regulation and Operations Division, Irvan Susandy, Tuesday (26/1).

Major evaluation is conducted to select stock index constituents for the next period, accompanied by adjusting the number of shares for the index and the constituents' weight.

The LQ45 index is an index that measures the price performance of 45 stocks that have high liquidity and large market capitalization and are supported by good company fundamentals.
