Gozco Increases Capital in Palma Sejahtera Rp79 Billion


PT Gozco Plantations Tbk (GZCO) increased its capital in its subsidiary, PT Palma Sejahtera (PS), worth Rp79 billion.Gozco took this action to increase the working capital financing of the subsidiary. Based on the disclosure of information, the company's investment in Palma Sejahtera consists of 790 thousand shares or the equivalent of Rp79 billion.When measured against the company's equity as of December 31, 2019, and September 30, 2020, the transaction value was 9.52 percent and 12.5 percent of each financial statement's equity."The purpose of this action is to finance the working capital of a subsidiary, Palma Sejahtera. Palma is a controlled subsidiary that is still immature, so it needs funding subsidies for its parent company," said the company's management recently.With this corporate action, the company now owns 2,748,885 shares, or Rp274.88 billion, equivalent to 99.99 percent of shares. Meanwhile, PT Suryabumi Agrolanggeng owns ten shares or the value of Rp1 million or the equivalent of 0.01 percent. This corporate action is an affiliated transaction because it owns as much as 99.99 percent of Palma Sejahtera's shares, a controlled subsidiary, and is engaged in investment.On the other hand, Gozco Plantations posted a loss attributable to the owners of the parent entity of Rp163 billion until September 30, 2020, down 59.25 percent from the same period in 2019 of Rp400 billion. Sales also fell 17.10 percent to Rp189 billion, compared to the same period last year of Rp228 billion.The company's financial report states that the company's cost of goods sold also fell 20.34 percent to Rp372 billion, compared to the same period last year, Rp467 billion. Meanwhile, Gozco recorded a gross loss at Rp183 billion from the original Rp238 billion.Thus, The company recorded the loss before estimated tax income at Rp206 billion from the same period last year, at Rp415 billion.Based on company data, the company's current controller is Tjandra Mindharta Gozali, with ownership of 1.58 billion shares, equivalent to 28.37 percent. Meanwhile, PT Golden Zaga Indonesia owns 1.70 billion shares, equivalent to 28.37 percent, and Prajogo Pangestu owns 470.41 million shares, equal to 7.48 percent. Then, the public has 2.24 billion shares or the equivalent of 37.42 percent. The shares' price is currently at Rp50 per share with a price-earning ratio (PER) of -1.38.
