Gold Prices May Weaken on Worries Over US Monetary Policy

Gold prices on Monday (14/6) have the potential to experience pressure by moving in the support and resistance range of 1850-1890 dollars per troy ounce.

"The further weakening of gold prices is likely because the market is wary of changes in the US central bank's monetary policy. The Fed will announce its latest policy in the early hours of this week," said Commodity Observer Ariston Tjendra in Jakarta.

He explained that the Fed might open a tighter monetary policy discourse or discussion with the US inflation rate that has exceeded the target and the employment figure that has improved.

"This discussion can encourage the strengthening of the US dollar and depress gold prices," he said.
