Jakarta - The price of gold on Monday (20/9) has the potential to experience pressure, triggered by the anticipation of market participants regarding the results of the US Central Bank's monetary policy meeting this week in the early hours of Thursday.

"The possibility of tapering at the end of the year has encouraged the strengthening of the US dollar, which has suppressed gold prices," said Commodity Observer Ariston Tjendra in Jakarta.

The gold price has potential pressure to move within the support and resistance of  US$1,730 per troy ounce US$1,770 per troy ounce.
