Jakarta - PT Application Karya Anak Bangsa or Gojek has purchased 507,142,900 shares owned by PT Multipolar Tbk (MLPL), which were placed in PT Matahari Putra Prima Tbk (MPPA).

"The transaction will be carried out on October 4, 2021, with a purchase price of Rp700 per share," said Gojek President Director Andre Soelistyo in the IDX information disclosure on Friday (8/10).

According to him, the purpose of the transaction is to invest in MPPA shares. With this transaction, Gojek controls 6.74% of MPPA's shares.

Meanwhile, MPPA Corporate Secretary Danny Kojongian said MLPL had made a transaction to sell its MPPA shares to Gojek as many as 507,142,900 shares representing 6.74% share ownership in MPPA.

"This transaction has no impact on MPPA's operational activities, financial condition or business continuity," Danny said.
