GMFI, Sulzer Collaborate to Develop Industrial Services Segment

Jakarta - PT Garuda Maintenance Facility Aero Asia Tbk (GMFI) cooperates with PT Sulzer Indonesia (Sulzer) to explore potential cooperation in the maintenance of industrial and aero-derivative turbines, engineering services as well as component maintenance and repair.

GMF President Director Andi Fahrurrozi said the synergy with Sulzer is a business diversification step to develop a potential industrial services segment. The company expects the synergy to grow in the next few years. GMF  took this step to help balance the still dynamic aviation market due to the pandemic.

"The aeroderivative gas turbine has a working principle similar to that of an airplane engine. Until now, GMF's revenue still relies on the commercial aviation sector, to increase business volume and absorb market share in the industrial services segment, we are currently focusing on internal strengthening and collaborating with partners," in his statement on Friday (10/9).
