Global Negative Sentiments Lead JCI Moving Lower


Jakarta - Global negative sentiment triggered the weakening of the Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) at the opening of trading on Thursday (19/8) by 7.6 points.

"The combination of concerns about tapering at the end of 2021 as well as increasing the number of new cases and new global deaths due to COVID-19 has become a negative sentiment for the JCI movement this Thursday," said Director of MNC Asset Management Edwin Sebayang in Jakarta.

Meanwhile, on Thursday's trading opening, it opened lower 7.6 points (0.12%) to 6110.55.

The leading stock index group LQ45 fell 2.4 points (0.28%) to 867.52.
