The Jakarta Composite Index in the first trading session today, on Monday (3/5), was down 49.48 points or 0.83% at 5,946.13.

Of the Composite, 158 stocks were up, 306 stocks down, and 160 stocks were unchanged. Total share trading volume reached 10.92 billion shares with a total turnover of Rp5.45 trillion.

Eight sectors of stocks rose, while two sectors of stocks slipped into the red zone.

The sectors with the most significant increase were the basic industry sector, which rose 0.79%, and the miscellaneous industry sector gained 0.77%.

Meanwhile, the stocks among the top gainers of LQ45 were PT Mitra Keluarga Karya Sehat Tbk (MIKA) (2.67%), PT Medco Energi Internasional Tbk (MEDC) (2.24%), PT Bank BTPN Syariah Tbk (BTPS) ( 2.14%).

Meanwhile, stocks among the LQ45 top losers included PT Merdeka Copper Gold Tbk (MEDC) (-4.20%), PT Tower Bersama Infrastructure Tbk (TBIG) (-3.58%), PT Tjiwi Kimia Paper Factory. Tbk (TKIM) (-3.26%).
