First Session, JCI Up 0.13% at 6,052


The Jakarta Composite Index, in the first session of trading today, Thursday (8/7), rose 7.62 points or 0.13% to 6,051.65.

Of all traded stocks, 208 stocks were up, 242 stocks weakened, and 172 stocks unchanged. The total transaction volume reached 11.82 billion shares with a turnover of Rp6.92 trillion.

The increase in several sectoral indices supported the strengthening of the JCI. The index with the largest gain was the Technology Sector IDX, which rose 0.77%.

Meanwhile, the sectoral index with the deepest weakness was the Primary Consumer Goods Sector IDX, which fell 0.76%.

Meanwhile, the top gainers of the LQ45 were PT Aneka Tambang Tbk (ANTM) up 5.28%, PT Vale Indonesia Tbk (MDKA) up 1.52%, PT Bank Tabungan Negara Tbk (BBTN) up 1. 12%.

The stocks among the LQ45 top losers included PT Charoen Pokphand Indonesia Tbk (CPIN) down 5.22%, PT Medco Energi Internasional Tbk (MEDC) down 4.8%, PT Japfa Tbk (JPFA) down 2.91%.
