First Session, JCI Up 0.10 Percent at 6,345


At the end of the first trading session today, Tuesday (2/3), the Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) gained 6.25 points or 0.10 percent to 6,344.76.

Of the ten sectoral indices on the IDX, five rose, and five fell. The basic industrial sector scored the largest increase, by 1.51 percent.

The manufacturing sector strengthened 0.70 percent. The consumer goods sector rose 0.36 percent. The trade and services sector increased 0.21 percent. The financial sector edged up 0.08 percent.

Meanwhile, the mining sector decreased 1.47 percent. The plantation sector fell 0.48 percent. The infrastructure sector weakened 0.41 percent. Miscellaneous industrial sectors fell 0.21 percent. Meanwhile, the construction and property sectors fell 0.11 percent.

Of all the composite, 217 stocks rose, 233 shares fell, and 169 stocks were unchanged. The total volume of transactions reached 13.90 billion shares with a transaction value of Rp8.15 trillion.

While stocks among the top gainers of the LQ45 were PT Semen Indonesia Tbk (SMGR) which rose 8.67 percent, PT Indocement Tunggal Prakarsa Tbk (INTP) gained 6.78 percent, PT Indah Kiat Pulp and Paper Tbk (INKP) increased by 2 , 90 percent.

Meanwhile,  the LQ45 top losers included PT Merdeka Copper Gold Tbk (MDKA) fell 4.58 percent, PT Vale Indonesia Tbk (INCO) decreased 2.88 percent, PT Medco Energi Internasional Tbk (MEDC) fell 2.14 percent.
