First Session, JCI Slightly Higher to 5,777


The Jakarta Composite Index in the first trading session today, on Monday (24/5), was slightly higher by 4.04 points to 0.07% to 5,777.16.

One hundred ninety-four stocks rose, 286 shares fell, and 156 stocks were unchanged. The total volume of transactions reached 10.71 billion shares with a transaction value of Rp5.15 trillion.

Four sectors only supported the increase in JCI. The technology sector strengthened 1.31%, the financial sector rose 0.77%, the energy sector increased 0.67%, and the infrastructure sector edged up 0.15%.

Meanwhile, the transportation sector fell 2.23%, the raw goods sector was down 1.90%, the property and real estate sector decreased 0.62%, the non-primary consumer goods sector declined 0.33%, the industrial sector fell 0.22%, the health sector weakened. 0.11%, primary consumption goods sector was down 0.05%.

While the stocks among the top gainers in LQ45 were PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia Tbk (BBRI) 3.60%, PT Indo Tambang
