First Session, JCI Rises 1.50 Percent to 5,950.42


The Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) at the end of the first trading session today, on Monday (1/2), strengthened 88.07 points or 1.50 percent to 5,950.42.

257 stocks rose, 218 stocks fell, and 139 stocks unchanged. The total volume of stock exchange transactions reached 13.05 billion shares with market turnover amounting to Rp13 trillion.

Among the top gainers of the LQ45 index were PT Pakuwon Jati Tbk (PWON), which rose 7.88 percent, PT Mitra Keluarga Kary Advisor Tbk (MIKA) was up 7.59 percent, PT Vale Indonesia Tbk (INCO) increased 6.82 percent.

Meanwhile, several stocks in the LQ45 index were top losers.  PT Astra International Tbk (ASII)  fell 1.64 percent, PT Bank Mandiri Tbk (BMRI)  down 1.14 percent, PT Erajaya Swasembada Tbk (ERAA) declined1.08 percent
