First Session, JCI Rises 1.13% to 5,829


The Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) in the first trading session today, Tuesday (25/5), strengthened 64.98 points or 1.13% to 5,828.61.

Two hundred eighty-six stocks rose, 181 stocks fell, and 159 stocks were stagnant. The total volume of transactions reached 14.12 billion shares with a market turnover of Rp6.68 trillion.

Seven sectors ended in the green zone along with the JCI the energy sector posted the largest increase, namely 1.84%, the financial sector shot 1.79%, the raw goods sector strengthened 1.50%, the non-primary consumer goods sector strengthened 1.18%, the industrial sector rose 1.16%, the infrastructure sector rose 1.10%, the property and real estate sector rose 0.44%.

Meanwhile, four sectors fell into the red zone, such as the transportation and logistics sector, which fell 2.05%, the technology sector fell 0.49%, the health sector fell 0.29%, and the primary consumer goods sector fell 0.28%.
