First Session, JCI Rises 1.08% to 6,914


Jakarta - The Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) in the first trading session on Tuesday (5/24) rose 1.08%, or 74.199 points, to 6,914.

At the midday break, 263 stocks rose, 215 stocks declined, and 205 stocks were unchanged. The trading volume was 15.5 billion shares, and the turnover reached Rp8.9 trillion.

Ten sectoral indices supported the JCI in the green zone. The three sectors that contributed the most, IDX-Trans, rose 5.96%, IDX-Basic rose 1.64%, and IDX-Industry rose 1.53%.

Meanwhile, among the LQ45 top gainers were PT Merdeka Copper Gold Tbk (MDKA), which rose 7.44% to Rp5,200, PT Waskita Karya Tbk (WSKT), which rose 6.12% to Rp520, and PT Perusahaan Gas Negara Tbk (PGAS), which rose 4.82% to Rp1,630.

Meanwhile, stocks that fell into the top losers in the LQ45 were PT Bukalapak.com Tbk (BUKA), which fell 4.76% to Rp280, and PT BFI Finance Indonesia Tbk (BFIN), which fell 2.62 percent to Rp1,115, and PT Unilever Indonesia Tbk (UNVR), which fell 2.46% to Rp4,760.
