First Session, JCI Rises 0.93% to 6,257


The Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) at the end of the first trading session today, Wednesday (10/3), closed up 57.76 points or 0.93% to 6,257.41.

255 stocks rose, 196 stocks fell, and 153 shares were unchanged. The total volume of stock trading reached 13.37 billion shares with a total market turnover of Rp5.39 trillion.

Nine stock sectors rose, supporting the increase in the JCI. The stock sectors with the biggest gain were the infrastructure sector which rose 1.85%, the basic industry sector rose 1.49%, and the construction sector gained 1.29%.

Meanwhile, one stock sector, namely the miscellaneous industry sector, slipped into the red zone with a decrease of 1.26%.

Shares included in the LQ45 top gainers are PT Summarecon Agung Tbk (SMRA) was up 13.56%, PT Bumi Serpong Damai Tbk (BSDE) gained 5.46%, PT Ciputra Development Tbk (CTRA) 4.82%.

Among the top losers in the LQ45 index among others, PT United Tractors Tbk (UNTR) fell 3.44%, PT Wijaya Karya (Persero) Tbk (WIKA) was down 2.63%, PT Astra International Tbk (ASII ) decreased 1.81%.

Foreign investors recorded net purchases of Rp377.29 billion in all markets.

The stocks with the largest foreign net purchases were PT Centratama Telekomunikasi Indonesia Tbk (CENT) Rp288.2 billion, PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BBCA)  Rp47.4 billion and PT Telkom Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (TLKM) Rp36.2 billion.

Meanwhile, the stocks with the largest foreign net sales were PT Astra International Tbk (ASII) Rp46 billion, PT United Tractors Tbk (UNTR) Rp29.2 billion, and PT Charoen Pokphand Indonesia Tbk (CPIN) Rp18.2 billion.
