First Session, JCI Rises 0.6% to 6,134


The Jakarta Composite Index in the first trading session on Tuesday (3/8) rose 37.89 points (0.62%) to 6,134.43

Of all traded stocks, 227 stocks were, 238 stocks weakened, and 164 stocks were unchanged. The total transaction volume reached 14.97 billion shares with a turnover of Rp7.3 trillion.

The increase in several sectoral indices supported the strengthening of the JCI. IDX printed the index with the largest gain for the Transportation and Logistics Sector, which increased 1.47%.

Meanwhile, the top gainers in the LQ45 were PT Indocement Tunggal Prakarsa Tbk (INTP) up 6.50%, PT Media Nusantara Citra Tbk (MNCN) up 6.33%, PT Semen Indonesia Tbk (SMGR) up 4.81 %.

Meanwhile, stocks among the top losers in the LQ45 included PT Vale Indonesia Tbk (INCO), down 4.17%, PT Medco Energi Internasional Tbk (MEDC) down 2.5%, PT Aneka Tambang Tbk (ANTM) down 2. 39%.
