Jakarta - The Jakarta Composite Index (JCI), in the first trading session on Wednesday (6/8), rose 30.85 points, or 0.43%, to 7,171.89.

At the midday break, 236 stocks were up, 289 stocks were down, and 155 stocks were unchanged. The total volume of stock exchange transactions reached 18.57 billion shares with a turnover of Rp 9.63 trillion.

Meanwhile, stocks among the LQ45 top gainers included PT PP Tbk (PTPP), up 4.92%. PT Unilever Indonesia Tbk (UNVR) gained 4.86%, and PT Wijaya Karya Tbk (WIKA) increased 4.84%.

Meanwhile, among the LQ45 top losers were PT Perusahaan Gas Negara Tbk (PGAS), down 5.63%; PT Harum Energy Tbk (HRUM), down 4.71%; and PT Telkom Indonesia Tbk (TLKM), down 3.76%.
