First Session, JCI Rises 0.34% to 6,038


The Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) in the first trading session on Wednesday (21/7), rose 0.34% or 20.39 points to 6,037.78.

Two hundred seventy stocks were rising, 208 stocks falling, and 152 stocks stagnant. The total transaction volume reached 11.70 billion shares with a turnover of Rp6.84 trillion. S

Although the JCI strengthened, five sectoral indices were still in the red zone, such as the transportation and logistics sector, which fell 1.30%, the health sector weakened 1.28%, the raw goods sector fell 0.56%, the infrastructure sector fell 0.30%, and the goods sector fell by 0.30%. Primary consumption eroded 0.19%.

Meanwhile, the top gainers in the  LQ45 were PT Wijaya Karya Tbk (WIKA) 10.15%, PT PP Tbk (PTPP) 7.74%, PT Summarecon Agung Tbk (SMRA) 6.62%.

Among the top losers in the LQ45 included PT Medco Energi Internasional Tbk (MEDC) -3.60%, PT Aneka Tambang Tbk (ANTM) -3.03%, PT Vale Indonesia Tbk (INCO) -2, 88%.
