First Session, JCI Rises 0.32 Percent to 6,126


The Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) at the end of the first trading session today, on Friday (5/2), rose 19.63 points or 0.32 percent to 6,126.84.

Of all stocks traded, 260 shares were up, 180 stocks weakened, and 165 stocks were unchanged. The total stock exchange transactions volume reached 8.52 billion shares with a total market turnover of Rp6.32 trillion.

The top gainers of the LQ45 were PT Semen Indonesia Tbk (SMGR), which up 4.24 percent, PT United Tractors Tbk (UNTR) up 4.14 percent, PT Indo Tambangraya Megah Tbk (ITMG) up 3.92 percent.

The LQ45 top losers included PT Pabrik Kertas Tjiwi Kimia Tbk (TKIM) that fell 5.79 percent, PT Indah Kiat Pulp and Paper Tbk (INKP) dropped 5.28 percent, PT Merdeka Copper Gold Tbk (MDKA) weakened 3.23 percent.
