The Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) in the first session of today's trading, Wednesday (4/8), closed up 18.02 points or 0.30% to 6,148.79.

Of all traded stocks, 212 were up, 239 were down, and 184 were unchanged. The total share trading volume reached 19.07 billion shares with a total value of Rp8.38 trillion.

Five sectoral indices strengthened, supporting the JCI's rise. Meanwhile, five other sectoral indices are in the red zone.

Meanwhile, the top gainers in the LQ45 were PT Medco Energi Internasional Tbk (MEDC) (3.85%), PT Japfa Comfeed Indonesia Tbk (JPFA) (2.81%), PT Ace Hardware Indonesia Tbk (ACES) ( 2.64%).

Meanwhile, the top losers among stocks in the LQ45 were PT Timah Tbk (TINS) (-3.02%), PT PP (Persero) Tbk (PTPP) (-1.68%), PT Aneka Tambang Tbk (ANTM ) (-1.62%).
