At the end of the first trading session today, Tuesday (9/2), the Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) gained 15.22 points or 0.25 percent to 6,224.09.

Of all stocks traded,  197 shares rose, 264 stocks fell, and 163 stocks were unchanged. The total volume of stock exchange transactions reached 12.22 billion shares with a market turnover of Rp11.11 trillion.

Meanwhile, the stocks in the LQ45 index were top gainers, among others, PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia Tbk (BBRI), which was up 4.93 percent, PT Merdeka Copper Gold Tbk (MDKA) rose 3.59 percent, PT Erajaya Swasembada Tbk (ERAA) gained 3.33 percent.

Meanwhile, among the LQ45 top losers included, PT Tower Bersama Infrastructure Tbk (TBIG) fell 4.42 percent, PT United Tractors Tbk (UNTR) was down 3.19 percent, PT AKR Corporindo Tbk (AKRA) slid 2.96 percent.
