First Session, JCI Falls 93.39 Points


Jakarta - The Jakarta Composite Index in the first trading session on Thursday (19/8) weakened 93.39 points or 1.53% to 6,024.76.

There were 140 stocks up, 336 stocks down, and 158 stocks stagnant. The total transaction volume reached 14.29 billion shares with a market turnover of Rp7.53 trillion.

Ten of the 11 sectoral indices dragged the JCI into the red zone. Only the transportation and logistics sectors rose 0.97%.

The top gainers in the LQ45 were PT Repower Asia Indonesia Tbk (REAL) which rose by Rp28 or 31.11% to Rp118, PT WEHA Transport Indonesia Tbk (WEHA) rose by Rp39 or 22.29% to Rp.214, and PT Sunindo Adipersada Tbk (TOYS) increased by Rp13 or 18.31% to Rp84.

Meanwhile, stocks among the LQ45 top losers included PT Bank MNC Internasional Tbk (BABP) which down Rp28 or 6.97% to Rp374, PT Multipolar Tbk (MLPL) down Rp30 or 6.85% to Rp408, and PT Bank KB Bukopin Tbk (BBKP) fell Rp40 or 6.84% to Rp545.
