First Session, JCI Falls 1.6 Percent to 5,883.63


The Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) at the end of the first trading session today, on Friday (29/1), fell 95.76 points or 1.6 percent to 5,883.63.

Of all traded stocks, 152 stocks rose, 363 stocks weakened, and 154 stocks unchanged. Market turnover Rp7.58 trillion with 8.45 billion shares traded.

Among the top gainers in the LQ45 index, PT Surya Citra Media Tbk (SCMA) rose 7.84 percent to Rp2,200, PT Merdeka Copper Gold Tbk (MDKA) rose 5.68 percent to Rp2,420, PT Tower Bersama Infrastructure Tbk (TBIG) increased 2.78 percent to Rp2,220

Meanwhile, the top losers in the LQ45 index were PT PP (Persero) Tbk (PTPP), which fell 6.94 percent to Rp1,610, PT Aneka Tambang Tbk (ANTM) dropped 6.72 percent to Rp2,220, PT Bank Mandiri Tbk (BMRI) decreased 6.38 percent to Rp6,600.
