First Session, JCI Falls 1.02% to 6,076.64


Jakarta - In the first session of trading today, the Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) on  Monday (16/8), weakened 62.86 points or 1.02% to 6,076.64.

There were 136 stocks up, 348 stocks down, and 148 stocks stagnant. The total transaction volume reached 13.82 billion shares with a transaction value of Rp6.98 trillion.

The weakening of all sectoral indices supported the decline of the JCI. The index with the deepest weakness was the Technology Sector IDX, which fell 3.18%.

Meanwhile, the top gainers in the LQ45 were PT Ace Hardware Indonesia Tbk (ACES) up 5.15%, PT Wijaya Karya Tbk (WIKA) up 2.26%, PT Indo Tambangraya Megah Tbk (ITMG) up 2.05 %.

Meanwhile, stocks among the LQ45 top losers included PT Paper Factory Tjiwi Kimia Tbk (TKIM), down 4.49%, PT Bank Merdeka Copper Gold Tbk (MDKA) down 3.90%, PT Indah Kiat Pulp and Paper Tbk. (INKP) fell 3.73%.
