First Session, JCI Falls 0.84% to 6,002


The Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) in the first trading session on Tuesday (20/4) slid by 0.84% or 50.733 points to the level of 6,001.81

Of the composite,  269 stocks weakened, 189 stocks rose, and 173 stocks were unchanged. Total volume reached 7.7 billion shares with a transaction value of Rp4.7 trillion.

All ten sectoral indices flushed, with the financial sector the steepest decline of 1.74%

Meanwhile, the top gainers in the LQ45 were PT Tower Bersama Infrastruktur Tbk (TBIG) which rose 5.22% to Rp2,620, PT Summarecon Agung Tbk (SMRA) rose 4.79% to Rp985, PT Bank BTPN Syariah. Tbk (BTPS) increased 3.86% to Rp3,230.

As for the stocks among the LQ45 top losers, were PT Merdeka Copper Gold Tbk (MDKA), which fell 6.30% to Rp2,230, PT Indo Tambangraya Megah Tbk (ITMG) fell 3.37% to Rp12,175, PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia Tbk (BBRI) decreased 3.20% to Rp4,240.
