First Session, JCI Falls 0.73% to 6,106


Jakarta – The Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) fell 44.64 points (0.73 %) to 6,105.66 in the first trading session on Wednesday (1/9).

Two hundred fourteen stocks were up, 249  down, and 172 were unchanged. The overall transaction volume was 14.21 billion shares, with a turnover of Rp6.27 trillion.

The weakening of several sectoral indicators dragged the JCI down. The Technology Sector IDX, which plummeted 2.63 %, was the index with the worst decline.

Meanwhile, the top gainers in the LQ45 were PT Bukit Asam Tbk (PTBA), which rose 3.32%. PT Indofood Sukses Makmur Tbk (INDF) gained 2.83%, and PT Adaro Energy Tbk (ADRO) climbed 2.78%.

Meanwhile, the top losers in the LQ45 index were PT Barito Pacific Tbk (BRPT), which fell 4.23%. PT Tower Bersama Infrastructure Tbk (TBIG) dropped 3.19%, and PT Media Nusantara Citra Tbk (MNCN) decreased 2.86%.
