First Session, JCI Falls 0.64% to 6,000


The Jakarta Composite Index in the first trading session today, on Wednesday (21/4), dropped 0.64% or 38.653 points to a level of 5,999,669.

There were 273 stocks weakened, 164 stocks rose, and 176 stocks were unchanged. The total trading volume was 8.2 billion shares with a transaction value of Rp4.1 trillion.

All of the ten sectoral indices flushed. The basic industrial sector declined 0.79% the most.

Meanwhile, among the LQ45 top gainers were PT Media Nusantara Citra Tbk (MNCN) which rose 5.79% to Rp1,005, PT Perusahaan Gas Negara Tbk (PGAS) increased 3.75% to Rp1,245, PT United Tractors Tbk (UNTR) increased 2.50% to Rp22,550.

Meanwhile, stocks that were included in the LQ45 top losers category: PT Vale Indonesia Tbk (INCO) fell 3.28% to Rp4,130, PT Tower Bersama Infrastructure Tbk (TBIG) fell 2.99% to Rp2,600, PT Ace Hardware Indonesia Tbk (ACES) fell 2.30% to Rp1,490.
