First Session, JCI Falls 0.5% yo 5,992


The Jakarta Composite Index in the first trading session on Monday (5/7) weakened 31.37 points or 0.52% to 5,991.64.

There were 197 stocks rising, 281 stocks weakening, and 156 stocks stagnant. The total transaction volume reached 9.69 billion shares with a transaction value of Rp5.78 trillion.

The weakening of some sectoral indices dragged down the weakening of the JCI. The index with the deepest weakness was the Primary Consumer Goods Sector IDX, which fell 1.7%.

The other four sectoral indexes managed to strengthen and restrain the JCI's weakening rate. The biggest gain was the Health Sector IDX which shot up 1.37%.

The subsequent gains from the biggest ones were the IDX Property and Real Estate Sector, which rose 0.33%, the IDX Infrastructure Sector rose 0.30%, and the IDX Non-Primary Consumer Goods sector rose 0.29%.

Meanwhile, the top gainers in the  LQ45 were PT Tower Bersama Infrastructure Tbk (TBIG) up 7.64%, PT Ace
