First Session, JCI Falls 0.49%


Jakarta - The Jakarta Composite Index (JCI), in the first trading session on Tuesday (9/27), closed down 34.769 points or 0.49% to 7,092.73.

There were 218 stocks rising, 308 stocks falling, and 151 stocks unchanged. The total volume of stock exchange transactions reached 16.43 billion shares with a transaction value of Rp7.22 trillion.

Several sectoral indices supported the JCI weakening. The index with the deepest weakness was printed by the Raw Goods Sector IDX, which fell 1.59%.

Meanwhile, stocks included in the LQ45 top gainers:  PT XL Axiata Tbk (EXCL), rose 3.25%. PT Bukalapak.com Tbk (BUKA) gained 2.19% and PT Tower Bersama Infrastructure Tbk (TBIG) rose 2.16%.

Meanwhile, stocks among the top losers in the LQ45 included PT Medco Energi Internasional Tbk (MEDC), which fell 6.99%. PT Bank Jago Tbk (ARTO) was down 3.83%, PT Barito Pacific Tbk (BRPT) declined 3.47%.
