First Session, JCI Falls 0.42% to 6,032.82


Jakarta – The Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) fell 25.25 points, or 0.42 %, to 6,032.82 in the first trading session on Friday (27/8).

There were 189 stocks that rose, 289 stocks that fell, and 158 stocks that were unchanged. The overall trading volume reached 12.83 billion shares with a turnover of Rp5.71 trillion.

Following the decline in the JCI, eight sectoral indices fell. The other two sectors indices, on the other hand, made it to the green zone.

Stocks among the top gainers in the LQ45 were PT Indocement Tunggal Prakarsa Tbk (INTP) (1.59%), PT Bank Negara Indonesia Tbk (BBNI) (1.44%), and PT Indofood Sukses Makmur Tbk (INDF) (1.20% ).

The top losers in the LQ45 were PT Medco Energi Internasional Tbk (MEDC) (-4.13 %), PT Erajaya Swasembada Tbk (ERAA) (-3.48 %), and PT Adaro Energy Tbk (ADRO) ( -2.34%).
