The Jakarta Composite Index  in the first trading session today, Friday (7/5), fell 24.30 points or 0.41% to 5,945.93.

Of all traded stocks, 184 stocks were stronger, 256 stocks weaker, and 173 stocks stagnant. Total share trading volume reached 8.84 billion shares with a total turnover of Rp4.56 trillion.

All compact sectoral indices weakened. The sectoral indices with the deepest weakness were IDX Techno which fell 1.62%, the financial sector fell 0.99%, and IDX Basic fell 0.80%.

Meanwhile, the stocks that included the LQ45 top gainers were PT Medco Energi Internasional Tbk (MEDC) (2.24%), PT Merdeka Copper Gold Tbk (MDKA) (1.92%), PT Vale Indonesia Tbk (INCO) (1.31%).

Meanwhile, stocks among the LQ45 top losers included, PT Indah Kiat Pulp and Paper Tbk (INKP) (-3.39%), PT Erajaya Swasembada Tbk (ERAA) (-3.28%), PT Pabrik Kertas Tjiwi Kimia Tbk (TKIM) (-3.11%).
