First Session, JCI Falls 0.40% to 5,774


The Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) declined 0.40 % or 23.418 points in the first trading session today, on Friday (21/5), to a level of 5,774.179.

Two hundred eighty-one stocks fell, 180 stocks climbed, and 163 unchanged stocks. The overall trading volume was 9.2 billion shares worth Rp5.7 trillion.

Eight sectoral indicators pulled the JCI movement. IDX Property down by 01.41%, IDX Industry fell by 1.27%, and IDX Infrastructure fell by 0.57% in a row.

Meanwhile, among the LQ45 top gainers, PT Chandra Asri Petrochemical Tbk (TPIA) increased 6.23 % to Rp8,100, PT Bank Mandiri Tbk (BMRI) gained 2.65 % to Rp5,800, and PT Bukit Asam Tbk (PTBA) increased 2.65% to Rp5,800.

Meanwhile, stocks included the LQ45 top losers, PT Bank BTPN Syariah Tbk (BTPS) fell 5.30% to Rp2,680, PT Bank Mandiri Tbk (BMRI) fell 4.04% to Rp1,070, PT Wijaya Karya Tbk (WIKA) decreased 3.88% to Rp1,240.
