First Session,, JCI Falls 0.32% to 6,125


Jakarta - The Jakarta Composite Index in the first trading session on Tuesday (31/8) weakened 19.63 points (0.32%) to 6,125.27.

There were 234 stocks gaining, 243 stocks weakening, and 156 stocks were unchanged. The total transaction volume reached 14.14 billion shares with a turnover of Rp5.83 trillion.

The decline in the JCI was exacerbated by the weakening of a number of sectoral indices. The index with the deepest weakness was the Health Sector IDX, which fell 0.85%.

The top gainers in the LQ45 were PT Paper Factory Tjiwi Kimia Tbk (TKIM), which was up 5.96 %. PT Indah Kiat Pulp and Paper Tbk (INKP) was up 5.7 %, and PT Timah Tbk (TINS) rose 3.07 %.

Meanwhile, the top losers in the LQ45 index were PT Kalbe Farma Tbk (KLBF), which fell 4.3%, PT Charoen Pokphand Indonesia Tbk (CPIN) fell 3.03 %, and PT Ace Hardware Indonesia Tbk (ACES) declined 2.49 %.
