First Session, JCI Falls 0.27% to 6,074


Jakarta - The Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) in the first trading session today, on Thursday (2/9), weakened 16.70 points or 0.27% to 6,074.23.

There were 187 stocks rising, 277 stocks weakening, and 166 stocks stagnant. The total transaction volume reached 13.62 billion shares with a transaction value of Rp5.51 trillion.

 The weakening of several sectoral indices dragged the JCI down. The index with the deepest weakness was the Technology Sector IDX, which fell 1.21%.

The top gainers in the LQ45 were PT Medco Energi Internasional Tbk (MEDC) which was up 3.78%. PT Indah Kiat Pulp and Paper Tbk (INKP) rose 3.54%, PT Paper Factory Tjiwi Kimia Tbk (TKIM) gained 1.66%.

Meanwhile, the top losers in LQ45 were PT Aneka Tambang Tbk (ANTM), which fell 2.93 %. PT PP Tbk (PTPP) declined 2.75%, PT Japfa Tbk (JPFA) decreased 2.22%.
